ChoreoLab: TanzSüd brings together four choreographers from southern Germany every year, who each create a 15-minute dance piece on a specific theme with the same four dancers. This year: The Last Dance.
The choreographers Simone Elliott (Regensburg), Pablo Sansalvador (Ulm), Eva Borrmann (Nuremberg) and Nestor Gahe (Stuttgart) are thus creating a multifaceted program that will premiere in all four cities and the venues cooperating there.

Theme
The Last Dance - A theatrical allegory for finiteness. And yet this image confronts us with the realistic question: can, should or must we continue to dance when the world is shaken by the unpredictable rhythm of crises? Where do we take our steps when we no longer have solid ground under our feet?
The choreographers
The four choreographers have different backgrounds and choreographic languages. Each of them will interpret the theme from their own perspective. The result is an evening of dance with a stimulating spectrum of emotions, perspectives and tastes.

The places
Regensburg Dance Days
The REGENSBURGER TANZTAGE for contemporary dance stands for a modern and lively cultural scene in Regensburg. Within just a few years, they have developed into an inspiring series of events and present regional, national and international dance companies at several venues.
Theater RAMPE Stuttgart
RAMPE is a Stuttgart production house for theater, performance, dance and music. Contemporary and experimental theatrical formats, aesthetics and working methods are created here. RAMPE is active beyond the city in the form of co-productions, guest performances and residencies.
Tafelhalle Nuremberg
The Tafelhalle offers a programmatic antithesis to the city/state theaters in the region: unconventional, experimental, close to the audience, diverse and innovative. It was founded as a rehearsal and performance venue for Nuremberg's independent professional (primarily dance/theater) scene.
TanzLabor Ulm
Thanks to the professional infrastructure of the event venue at ROXY Ulm, TanzLabor can offer the independent dance scene a unique service: It accompanies an idea all the way to the stage.
Not only guest choreographers and dancers benefit from this. Local enthusiasts can experience dance stories from all over the world as close as rarely before.
